Redux: meet and connect with people

Redux has raised $6.5 million in a second round of funding, according to PE Hub and VentureBeat.

One goal for redux is to enable people to find other new people that share similar interests, for the purpose of finding folks that you may even want to hang out offline. Redux achieves this by letting you insert your interests as you see fit, and has the ability to tell you what other users you may find interesting immediately. Digging a bit deeper on the personality scale, redux has in fact signed an exclusive licensing deal to utilize the Myers-Briggs test for such social purposes.

An IBM study confirms the shift from TV consumption to online experiences, representing multi-billion dollar opportunities in targeted advertising and fee-based services. The rise of social networks proves the value of connecting with others, but a clear gap exists in addressing the desire to meet people and have meaningful interactions.
